Tomato is a calcium crop. Blossom end rot and soft fruit both trace back to calcium not reaching the fruit, which is as much a question of supply timing as of soil levels.
Under polyhouse or open field, the second pressure is heat. Fruit set drops sharply under stress, and recovery takes weeks you do not have.
