Table grapes are chloride sensitive, so potassium has to come in a sulphate or nitrate form rather than as muriate. Get that wrong and you pay for it in berry quality.
The other pressure points are calcium at berry set, which keeps the skin flexible and stops cracking, and potassium through colouring, which moves sugar into the berry.
